Dear Readers,

We would like to thank you all for your support over the past year. It’s been so much fun to write about all of our experiences and share them with you.

Over the past 20 months, we have learned so much and our blog has grown. Whilst wine is still our main focus, we felt like we also needed to focus on the other elements of our blog which are food and travel.

Starting January 14, we will be relocating for the next 3-6 months to London, England. While we are there we are planning on traveling throughout Europe to drink as much wine and experience as many culinary treats, beauty, and culture as we can along the way. We will be talking about the aspects of travel and reporting back to you all of the fun things we will be doing.

To reflect this, we will be changing our name to www.WineTravelEats.com which will go live on January 22 (That includes all of our media channels like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram).  If you are already signed up, then things will stay the same. Our tagline will be: From Napa and Beyond….  as we are going to include the rest of the world while keeping our home base as Napa. We will be having more guest bloggers and will bring back more of those you have enjoyed. April and Audrey will, of course, be there as will Girl on a Train (Marti). We are also hoping to bring onboard a new contributor Wendy, a wine influencer from Seattle who will be talking about the wines in Washington State.

The Brit (David) and I (Amber) have decided to come into the light and will be going by our given names. People seem to be confused by our nicknames and we hope that we will be more clear to you.

We are really looking forward to our next adventures and sharing them with you all. Please share our posts on Facebook as Facebook limits who sees our posts in order to get money. We’d also love it if you followed us on Instagram and Twitter @winetraveleats

We wish you all a very happy, healthy and peaceful new year.

Warmly,

Amber and David (California Girl and The Brit)

Thank you so much. Hopefully we will be writing about more exciting things in the near future!

  1. These are very positive changes. As one who is more of an old world wine drinker I am happy to see you expand your focus. I’m glad David & Amber will be present as well. 😉

Thanks, Michelle. We never expected our blog to take off like this at all. I didn’t expect it to become what we do… So this is going to be new and interesting. We do love our Napa wines, but both of us have the European roots to our wine drinking and we felt that the name change allows us to talk about more world wines along with the travel and food.
